We are not that familiar with the Volkswagen T-Roc in North America, but it's only a matter of time before Volkswagen offers the small SUV here in Canada. Meanwhile, the T-Roc R presented this week shows us the full potential of the T-Roc lineup.
The T-Roc R is the most powerful version of Volkswagen's small SUV. Powered by a powerful 2.0-liter turbo engine delivering 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, this engine moves the T-Roc R to 100 km/h in under 5.0 seconds and features 4Motion all-wheel drive. A 7-speed automatic transmission with a dual-clutch system is also included.
Imagine the T-Roc R as a Volkswagen Golf R with a higher ground clearance and you will get a good overview of the potential of this small SUV that we could see in Canada starting in 2019.
