The original microbus, known as the Type 2, came to Canada in the 1950s. During the 1960s and 1970s, the Type 2 was embraced by people who valued freedom, adventure, the spirit of exploration, and of course, quirky design.
Over the years, we’ve introduced various iterations of the microbus, from the Vanagon to the Eurovan. But one thing never changed: the good vibes.
Today, after a long hiatus in Canada, the spirit of the microbus has been fully reimagined for the modern era. The same retro-inspired shape, colours, space, and nostalgia – now with a fully electric drivetrain with instant acceleration and all the latest tech.
There’s no other vehicle quite like the ID. Buzz. It’s not just a means of transportation. It’s a lifestyle.
The original microbus had lots of space, so why should the all-electric reimagining be any different? The ID. Buzz offers an option of 6 or 7 seats, extra roomy rows including industry-leading 3rd row legroom, and a flexboard that creates a large flat interior surface for unlimited possibilities. All made possible due to its state-of-the-art MEB platform, huge wheelbase, and short overhangs.
Plus, with an available panoramic glass roof that lets in the sky above, you’ll feel like the ID. Buzz has space for the whole world around you.
